HAIL! Announce Scandinavian Tour
Monday, May 18, 2009

The HAIL!-storm continues.  Hot on the heels of their recent dates in Turkey, Greece and Austria earlier this month, metal super-group HAIL! have confirmed the first dates of their much anticipated Scandinavian tour this September.  Bassist David Ellefson beamed, “The Scandinavian fans have always been tremendous to all of us and it is with great pride that we return to say hello to these hardcore maniacs.  We will be touring for two full weeks and it remains our intention to play as many smaller cities as we can.  It looks like we have 8 more dates and we’ll announce the rest of them very shortly, but in the meantime we wanted to let everybody know we are coming and we can’t wait to see you all real soon.”

September 4th LUFTSLOTTET, Grimstad, Norway
September 5th GLASSHEIM ( www.untouchables.no ), Jevnaker, Norway
September 7th THE ROCK, Copenhagen, Denmark
September 8th VOXHALL, Aarhus, Denmark

Ellefson, whose family lineage is Norwegian, along with Ripper Owens (Judas Priest, Yngwie, Iced Earth), Andreas Kisser (Sepultura) and Jimmy Degrasso (Megadeth, Suicidal Tendencies, Alice Cooper) have some special treats up their sleeves as several high profile guests are expected to join the band onstage.

“This is going to be great!  The world of metal has always been a tribe and HAIL! has provided a wonderful opportunity to unite that tribe.  We’ve received offers to play all over the world, in some really unbelievable places that have never even had a concert before, and it makes me feel really good to know that people are so supportive of what we’re doing.  We’re really looking forward to this,” said Ripper.  Added Kisser “Scandinavia has produced some amazing bands – black metal started here, extraordinary musicians like Mikkey Dee from Motorhead and Yngwie came from here and bands like Opeth, Dimmu Borgir, Gorgoroth, Mercyful Fate, King Diamond, Lordi, Nightwish, Arch Enemy, Meshuggah, In Flames, Children of Bodom and even bands like Abba, The Hives, H.I.M. and Europe have all made their mark on the music world.  For a relatively small area of land, these countries have created some amazing and diverse music – it’s a honor to play there.”

More dates will be announced soon, in the meantime stay up to the minute with HAIL! news on their websites www.myspace.com/hailtheworld and www.hailtheworld.com.  For all booking inquiries please contact hailkills@aol.com.
